The Government’s unfortunate decision to implement a soft drinks levy left us with an impossible dilemma: i.e. ask our loyal customers to pay significantly more for the same product or, offer an alternative that still represents great value for money. In the end we had to accept that we could not keep everyone happy but had, nevertheless, to make a decision. This, on balance, came down in favour of a reformulated product which would not incur the new tax.
